From Lemontops to Steelworks

I spent the day in Redcar yesterday in the pouring rain collecting images for the public art strategy that I am co writing with Grit and Pearl and also for the glazing designs at Redcar Heart. Despite the cold incessant rain I managed to get spend hours on the unauthorised road that runs down the back  of the steelworks....here there are many treasures, the antiquated factory itself hissing, spitting, clanking , the rows of regimented fisherman’s huts, the strange marshland and the road itself which goes to nowhere.  And when I finished there I found myself a famous ‘lemontop’ ice-cream at Pacittos, I needed the picture you see.
